Overview   Summary   Proposals T-Lines Progress Reports

Phase 2

This section covers the implementation of the second phase of the Community Biodiversity Development and Conservation Programme (CBDC Programme). The included documents cover:
  1. An executive summary
  2. A general overview, which provides a brief description of the main features of the CBDC Programme during the first five years of implementation, followed by a general description of how and why those features remain or have been changed in the current phase.
  3. A summary of what we have called "transversal lines of action", six thematic areas within which the CBDC partners will focus their work and mutual cooperation.
  4. In the framework of meeting the global objectives of  distributing CBDC  philosophy, experiences and opinions (T-lines 'mainstreaming') the CBDC together with The Network University of Amsterdam is establishing a web-based on-line learning module on selected T-line topics. The target audience are  students all over the world in academic or research institutions and professionals from other disciplines but interested in agro-biodiversity. The idea for students is that the learning modules could be incorporate into home university courses around the world where they can earn credit points. A demonstration exercise covering part of the pilot project for Seed Systems in the developing world is currently on the web and can be reached at demo!  The Spanish version is also available now! Please let us know what you think.
